Fundable is a web-based crowdfunding site that caters to businesses of all sizes. Startups typically set up a profile, preferably with some video marketing to introduce themselves, their company, and their team, then wait for the fund raising to take shape.
Unlike other crowdsourcing sites, Fundable was created by investors to help bring entrepreneurs and investors together. This is a serious membership site that costs $179/month to be a part of. There’s no listing fees and they don’t take a percentage of funds raised either. If you have a smaller business only requiring a small investment in the tens of thousands (up to $50K), Fundable can help with their Rewards investor model, which allows you to ask for money that you’ll later repay with a reward of some kind; usually a free product or service for the business you’re launching. Those looking for more (up to $10M), can ask for more and include an equity stake in the company. Anyone who’s a member can offer an investment in your company for the Rewards program; only vetted accredited investors are allowed to invest in exchange for an equity share.
